Since 1964, Echo House has provided services to families in Baltimore City in sensitive and caring ways. The Board of Directors, staff and volunteers join forces with schools, churches, medical and social service providers, civic groups, businesses, and government to offer a wide array of services to low-income citizens in this community.

Over the past five years, our services have doubled in size and we are in the process of building a new building. We need your help. The new building will cost $3 million. The State of Maryland is planning to give us a total of $1.7 million and the City of Baltimore, Homeless Services Department may give us up to $750,000 over the next two years. Please help us to continue to expand the services that we are providing this community.

Echo House welcomes contributions of cash and food. Echo House also encourages gifts of stocks and mutual funds. This kind of gift allows the donor to receive a charitable deduction for the full, fair-market value of the gift without being subject to a capital gains tax on the appreciation. All gifts to Echo House are tax deductible as allowed by federal and state law.  Echo House is a United Way Agency, Member No. 48
